10th Reunion (August 2004)

The 10th year reunion of the 1994 graduates was held at the weekend of August 14-15, 2004. With a huge effort from the organizing team (including Robert Lam, Janneke Versteeg, Derek Leung, Ying Hai Xie, etc), about 60 graduates attended, of which 25 were overseas graduates. The attendance rate was very high. There were a few couples attending the reunion: they were Paivi and Ben (with their son), Andrea Matack(with husband and daughter), Tina (with husband), Daniela (with boyfriend), Michael (with wife), Rosette and Anthony, Hester (with boyfriend), etc. Some graduates came a week earlier and stayed on campus. The reunion started with a tea reception by the tuck shop. Esther, the network coordinator welcomed the graduates. The afternoon was filled with soccer and swimming. Most Hong Kong graduates started to gather round the pool-side in the evening for the BBQ. The participants of the reunion also included ex-staff: Wendy Young, Barry Drake, Sara Siu Lee, YC Lee, Lam (the guard), etc.

Dr. Stephen Codrington, the new Principal, gave a speech to greet the graduates and to thank the organizing team for their great effort. Mrs. Wendy Forster introduced the Blair Forster Memorial Trust and encouraged support from graduates. The evening ended with chats around the courtyard. The next day was filled with different activities including compulsory College meeting, which ended up in watching video to recall past memories, Cafe at the Peak and Seafood on Lamma Island. The reunion was a success in reconnecting the graduates and the College, though there can be improvement in different aspects.
